Our mission is: to promote Osteopathic medicine, increase the number of applicants to Osteopathic medical schools, support aspiring Osteopathic physicians at all levels of education, and continue the proud legacy of Osteopathic Medicine.

 

But what does it even mean?

 

Our mission statement is the core of our club. Every activity, meeting, and service opportunity will be centralized on these ideals in order to uphold the honor and pride of being involved in osteopathic medicine.

 

This semester, we plan on hosting meetings to inform the student body about Pre-SOMA as well as what osteopathic medicine is. By doing this we are promoting osteopathic medicine and, hopefully increase the number of applicants to osteopathic schools. We will be in contact with osteopathic medical schools, current students, as well as practicing osteopathic physicians. There will be opportunities for these inspiring individuals to come and speak to Pre-SOMA at UTD in order to support aspiring and current osteopathic physicians at all levels of education.
